Live Your Bucket List
Apr 07, 2021Aloha,
Thank you for being here with me. I am excited for this new home.
Last year, in the middle of the Pandemic, I decided to start a podcast about living our best life every single day. It was also about having better end of life conversations. It has been so much fun to create this podcast for you. When I was putting the podcast together, someone asked me: What would you like to call it? I said:
"Write Your Last Chapter"
That is how it all started. It has been 9 months.
That podcast is still going strong and it has listeners from all corners of the world. I hope it is helping some of you handle difficult conversations. Around the same time, I started writing a blog on the same website. I sort of feel like that was my baby. In some ways, I feel like I have given birth to that baby.
I have created something so much bigger than what those thoughts were all about. From teaching all of us to have better end of life conversations came a decision to have better conversations about the life we live today. While it is my mission to try to take away as much suffering as possible when faced with a serious illness or a terminal disease, it occured to me that I like to take away the suffering much earlier than that. What if tried to help catch you before you fell?
So I wanted to create that space for myself and those around me, too. My focus of my writing has changed. While I will continue to talk about difficult observations around end of life, I want to focus on making your life moving from good to great starting now.
It's less about writing your last chapter as it is writing your NEXT chapter.
Once I wrote that you are not a painted wall, you are a chameleon. You get to deicde. You get to change.
I really believe that. I know you can pivot. I don't know what your goals are, but I promise that you have what it takes in you to get there. You are not behind. No matter how old you are, or in what chapter of your life you are living in, there is plenty of time to get where you want to be heading instead. It is not too late to be the person you always wanted to be.
But first, you have to learn to love yourself. Exactly as you are. The hot mess that is you is truly perfect the way you are put together. Practice self compassion and let's go from there.
You don't believe me, but what I have learned as a certified life coach is that you can only get to where you want to be by loving yourself.
Beating yourself up along the way never works. You can't move day to day judging yourself and those around you and expect that your life would turn out differently tomorrow. I say that complaining is like trying to change the direction of your life by the power of negativity. It won't work.
I know you are struggling to keep it together. There is a better way to get to where you want to be going.
You can start loving yourself starting today. I am going to be here loving you no matter what. So keep coming back to get love and some honest advice as to how to move the needle of your human experience to the right direction.
My coaching philosophy is simple and you can use it in any situation that can come up for you.
- Choose Easy.
- Choose Love.
- Choose Yourself.
I can help you get there. Whatever it is that you are trying to accomplish in your life. If you feel like you are running out of time because you can't manage your days well; If you think that you are running out of space because of all the clutter that surrounds you; If you think that you manage your emotions by eating your way through your mental struggles; If you think there is never enough money or resources to get you where you want to be in life: I am here to help guide you.
Having seen so many people at the end of their life, I feel like I have learned from being a Death Coach to be a good Life Coach. I have learned about what matters at the end and what doesn't. I want to help you live an intentional life so that the days you are living today are worth every breath you take.
I don't want you to feel like your life is going by and you still have the same New Year's resolutions every single year that never get resolved. Come with me on this journey, via my podcast, this blog, or working with my group coaching program, to create a life that you have always been hoping to create.
To live an intentional life starting today.
I am here to take you where you want to be going. I want you to live your bucket list every single day. Not when faced with a serious illness.
I love this picture because one of my clients said that paddle boarding was on her bucket list and I was so happy to make that happen for her at the end of our time together.
Let me help you get there (literally or metaphorically). Think about shifting your mind from a To Do list to a To Be list. Knowing this subtle shift will expand your mind to allow what matters to you to become a priority in the life you live every single day.
"Tomorrow is no place to put your better days."
With so much love and Aloha!
